Marilou Terpenning, M.D., F.A.C.P., Physician

MARILOU TERPENNING, M.D., F.A.C.P. graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in 1976 then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor before coming to UCLA Center for Health Sciences to train in Hematology and Medical Oncology in 1979.  She has been a member of the faculty of UCLA School  of Medicine since 1981, currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine.  She left the fulltime faculty in 1988 to establish a private practice in Santa Monica.  She has special interest in breast and gynecological malignancies as well as hematological malignancies and hereditary cancer syndromes.  Dr. Terpenning is the author of numerous articles on cancer and tumor immunology and has been actively involved in clinical and basic science research.  She serves on clinical committees at St. John's Health Center and Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and on the professional advisory boards of several community cancer support organizations.  She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.  Currently, her professional activities are concentrated on her private practice.  She admits patients to St. John's Health Center and Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.
